As an Electronics Engineer in the Air Force, you’ll lead teams of highly skilled technicians to maintain and support advanced avionics systems that keep our aircraft operational and mission-ready. Whether based on a permanent Air Base or deployed in the field, your work will span power generation, radar and navigation, surveillance, mission communications, electronic control, and electronic warfare systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Engineering: Lead teams on Air Bases to configure and maintain equipment for daily missions.
Sustainment Engineering: Partner with the defence industry to upgrade, modify, and sustain critical equipment.
Project Engineering: Manage engineering projects and support the development of new capabilities to meet Australia’s strategic needs.
Safety Engineering: Enhance aviation safety by investigating incidents and ensuring personnel meet training and certification standards.
In addition to your technical role, you’ll be trained as an Air Force Officer—a respected leader and mentor, equipped with world-class management and leadership skills.
