Position Overview
The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting in financial record keeping data entry invoice processing and reconciliations The role requires accuracy strong organizational skills and the ability to work under supervision in a dynamic business environment
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
- Prepare and process invoices receipts and payments
- Support in bank reconciliations and expense tracking
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Handle filing documentation and data entry for finance related tasks
- Provide support to the senior accountant and finance team as required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance Commerce or related field
- Professional certifications such as ACCA CMA or CA Inter will be a plus
Skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (such as Tally QuickBooks or SAP)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
