Position Overview
As a Vehicle Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely, and efficiently You’ll be responsible for performing inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and carrying out repairs according to industry standards This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving technical problems, and staying up to date with the latest automotive technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Repair and replace faulty parts such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used
- Advise customers on vehicle conditions, required repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organized in line with company standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair orders
Education
- Diploma or certification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Apprenticeship or vocational training in automotive repair preferred
- Additional certifications (e.g., ASE or manufacturer-specific training) will be a plus
Skills
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, and brakes
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and workshop technology
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues and customers
- Physical stamina to handle hands-on repair tasks and work in varied conditions
- Team-oriented mindset with reliability and punctuality
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a related automotive repair role
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed
- Strong understanding of Italian vehicle safety regulations and inspection standards
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training to keep up with new vehicle technologies
