Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Operations Team Leader to join our growing organization. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team of financial professionals while driving operational excellence and strategic financial initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in streamlining our financial processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and mentor a team of 8-12 financial operations specialists
- Develop team capabilities through training, coaching, and performance management
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews
Financial Operations Management
- Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and month-end close processes
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and compliance procedures
- Monitor cash flow management and liquidity planning
Strategic Planning & Analysis
- Collaborate with senior management on financial planning and budgeting processes
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Support business development initiatives with financial modeling and analysis
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and increase efficiency
- Lead implementation of new financial systems and technologies
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and international standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certification (ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in financial operations or accounting
- At least 2–3 years of team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of Pakistani financial regulations and tax requirements
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Essential Skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in financial reporting
- Strategic thinking with ability to see the bigger picture
- Fluency in English and Urdu
