Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, adaptable Classroom Instructor to deliver engaging, student centered learning experiences in Vienna’s vibrant international school ecosystem, In this role, you’ll design and implement curriculum aligned lessons, support diverse learners, and contribute to our mission of educational excellence, The ideal candidate combines pedagogical expertise with cultural agility to thrive in a multicultural classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and educational standards
- Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that encourages active student participation
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students
- Assess, record, and report on students’ academic performance and progress
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a respectful, supportive atmosphere
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross curricular learning opportunities
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
- Stay updated on best teaching practices and incorporate innovative methods into the classroom
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Teaching, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Teaching certification or license such as PGCE, Teaching Diploma, or equivalent international qualification
- Additional subject specific qualifications are an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of German is a plus)
- Proficiency in integrating technology and digital tools into teaching
- Adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
- Passion for education and continuous professional growth
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, British, American, or equivalent
- Eligibility to work in Austria (EU work permit or visa sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates)
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
